رات کے غم میں سورج سائیں بادل اوڑھے پھرتا ہے

ریزہ ریزہ تیری خاطر میں نے جسم گنوایا ہے
دن بھر بادل چھم چھم برسا شام کو مطلع صاف ہوا
تب جا کر اک قوسِ قزح پر تیرا پیکر ابھرا ہے
تو نے جس کی جھولی میں دو پھول بھی ہنس کر ڈال دئے
ساری عمر وہ کاغذ پر خوشبو کی لکیریں کھنچتا ہے
تم کیوں تیز نوکیلے نیزے تان کے مجھ پر جھپٹے ہو
میرا مقدر تُند بگولو ، یوں بھی تو بُجھ جانا ہے
میں نے اپنے گِرد بنا لی زخموں کی دیوار نئی
ایک پرانا غم لیکن رہ رہ کر مجھ پر ہنستا ہے
جلتے جلتے میں بجھ جاؤں، یا تُو اگنی روپ میں آ
تیرا میرا میل ہو کیسے؟ میں سورج ، تو سایا ہے
سب کوہسار سمندر صحرا گھومیں اس کے گرد رشید
