کس کس کا منہ بند کرو گے کس کس کو سمجھاؤ گے
دل کی بات زباں پر لا کے دیکھو تم پچھتاؤ گے
آج یہ جن دیواروں کو تم اونچا کرتے جاتے ہو
کل کو ان دیواروں میں خود گھٹ گھٹ کے مر جاؤ گے
ماضی کے ہر ایک ورق پر سپنوں کی گلکاری ہے
ہم سے ناطہ توڑنے والو کتنے نقش مٹاؤ گے
ہاتھ چھڑا کے چل تو دیے ہو لیکن اتنا یاد رکھو
آگے ایسے موڑ ملیں گے سائے سے ڈر جاؤ گے
تم کو آدم زاد سمجھ کے ہم نے ہاتھ بڑھایا تھا
کس کو خبر تھی چھوتے ہی تم پتھر کے ہو جاؤ گے
دل سا مسکن چھوڑ کے جانا اتنا بھی آسان نہیں
صبح کو رستہ بھول گئے تو شام کو واپس آؤ گے
جسم کے کچھ بے چین تقاضے ضبط سے باہر ہوتے ہیں
کب تک دل کو دھوکا دے کر یادوں سے بہلاؤ گے
