اپنے اشعار کو رسوا سر بازار کروں
کیسے ممکن ہے کہ میں مدحت دربار کروں
دل میں مقتول کی تصویر لیے پھرتا ہوں
اور قاتل سے عقیدت کا بھی اظہار کروں
یہی منشور محبت ہے کہ وہ پیکر ظلم
جس کو نفرت سے نوازے میں اسے پیار کروں
اب مرے شہر کی پہچان ہے اک وعدہ شکن
شہریت بدلوں کہ تاریخ کا انکار کروں
رات بھر جاگ کے تعمیر کروں قصر امید
صبح تکمیل سے پہلے اسے مسمار کروں

پھر وہی کہنے لگے تو مرے گھر آیا تھا
چاند جن چار گواہوں کو نظر آیا تھا
رنگ پھولوں نے چنے آپ سے ملتے جلتے
اور بتاتے بھی نہیں کون کدھر آیا تھا
بوند بھی تشنہ ابابیل پہ نازل نہ ہوئی
ورنہ بادل تو بلندی سے اتر آیا تھا
تو نے دیکھا ہی نہیں ورنہ وفا کا مجرم
اپنی آنکھیں تری دہلیز پہ دھر آیا تھا
بھول بیٹھے ہیں نۓ خواب کی سرشاری میں
اس سے پہلے بھی تو اک خواب نظر آیا تھا
I should disgrace my poetry.
How is it possible that I should visit the Darbar
I roam around with the picture of the dead in my heart.
And I should also express my devotion to the murderer
This is the manifesto of love that it is a packer of cruelty
I love the one whom I bless with hatred
Now the identity of my city is a broken promise.
Should I change the citizenship or deny the history?
I will build the fort of hope by staying awake all night
Smash it before finishing the morning

The four witnesses who saw the moon
Flowers have chosen colors similar to you.
And they don't even tell who came and where
Even a drop of thirst did not come down on swallow.
Otherwise, the cloud had descended from the height
You have not seen it, otherwise the culprit of loyalty
I had caught my eyes at your doorstep
I have forgotten in the creation of new dreams.
Even before that, I had seen a dream.
