ادا جعفری کی پیدائش

ادا جعفری 22 اگست 1924ء کو بدایوں میں پیدا ہوئیں۔ آپ کا خاندانی نام عزیز جہاں ہے۔ آپ تین سال کی تھیں کہ والد مولی بدرالحسن کا انتقال ہو گیا۔ جس کے بعد پرورش ننھیال میں ہوئی۔ ادا جعفری نے تیرہ برس کی عمر میں ہی شاعری شروع کر دی تھی ۔وہ ادا بدایونی کے نام سے شعر کہتی تھیں۔ اس وقت ادبی رسالوں میں ان کا کلام شائع ہونا شروع ہوگیا تھا ۔ آپ کی شادی 1947ء میں نور الحسن جعفری سے انجام پائی شادی کے بعد ادا جعفری کے نام سے لکھنے لگیں۔ ادا جعفری عموماً اختر شیرانی اور اثر لکھنوی سے اصلاح لیتی رہی ۔ ان کے شعری مجموعہ شہر درد کو 1968ء میں آدم جی ایوارڈ ملا۔ شاعری کے بہت سے مجموعہ جات کے علاوہ ’’جو رہی سو بے خبری رہی ‘‘ کے نام سے اپنی خود نوشت سوانح عمری بھی 1995ء میں لکھی۔ 1991ء میں حکومت پاکستان نے ادبی خدمات کے اعتراف میں تمغا امتیاز سے نوازا-
مختصر علالت کے بعد 12 مارچ، 2015ء کو آپ کا انتقال ہو گیا

حیران ہیں، لب بستہ ہیں، دل گیر ہیں غنچے
خوشبو کی زبانی تیرا پیغام ہی آئے
لمہحاتِ مسرت ہیں تصوّر سے گریزاں
یاد آئے ہیں جب بھی غم و آلام ہی آئے
تاروں سے سجالیں گے رہ شہرِ تمنّا
مقدور نہیں صبح ، چلو شام ہی آئے
کیا راہ بدلنے کا گلہ ہم سفروں سے
جس راہ سے چلے تیرے در و بام ہی آئے
تھک ہار کے بیٹھے ہیں سرِ کوئے تمنّا
کام آئے تو پھر جذبئہِ نام ہی آئے
باقی نہ رہے ساکھ ادا دشتِ جنوں کی
دل میں اگر اندیشہ انجام ہی آئے
