بہتر ہے کچھ سوال ادھورے بھی چھوڑ دو
اک بے وفا کا نام لکھو گے کہاں تلک
اوراق اپنے ماضی کے سادے بھی چھوڑ دو
جینے کے واسطے نہ سہارے کرو تلاش
جب ڈوب ہی رہے ہو تو تنکے بھی چھوڑ دو
شاید نئے مکان میں ان کا نہ دل لگے
گھر چھوڑنے لگو تو پرندے بھی چھوڑ دو
جس نے تمہیں چراغوں سے محروم کر دیا
اس کی گلی کے چاند ستارے بھی چھوڑ دو
دریا سے دور رہنا ہی بہتر ہے اب شکیل
دھارے سے کٹ گئے تو کنارے بھی چھوڑ دو
