دل مرا سوزِ نہاں سے بے محابا جل گیا
آتشِ خاموش کی مانند گویا جل گیا
سوزِ نہاں : اندر کی جلن، خلش
بے محابا : بے لحاظ، بے پروائی میں، بے دھڑک
آتشِ خاموش : راکھ میں دبی آگ جو اندر ہی اندر سلگتی رہتی ہے لیکن سامنے بجھی ہوئی معلوم ہوتی ہے۔ وہ آگ جو جلنے کے دعوے میں سچی ہو لیکن دید کا احساس فراہم نہ کرے۔ یہ ترکیب میرؔ برت چکے ہیں۔
جیسے آتشِ خاموش بظاہر بجھی ہوئی معلوم ہوتی ہے لیکن اندر ہی اندر جل رہی ہوتی ہے اور ذرا سا چھیڑا جائے تو انگارے سامنے آ جاتے ہیں یونہی میرا دل سوزِ نہاں سے بے دھڑک (یا یک لخت) جل گیا اور کسی کو خبر تک نہ ہوئی، ہاں! اگر کبھی غمِ دروں کی بات چھیڑی جائے تو یہ آگ شعلہ بار ہو بھی سکتی ہے۔ اس کی حدّت ظاہر ہو بھی سکتی ہے۔
سوزِ نہاں سے سوزِ عشق بھی لے سکتے ہیں اور غمِ روزگار بھی، مگر اول اولیٰ ہے۔
پختہ مضامین اور معنیٰ آفریں خصوصیات کے حامل اشعار کی اس غزل میں مطلع برائے بیت ہے۔
اعتراض : بعض شارحین مثلاً یوسف سلیم چشتی وغیرہ کے نزدیک "گویا" کا جواز صرف یہ ہے کہ خاموش کا ضلع ہے۔ ورنہ زائد ہے۔
جواب : گویا بطورِ حرفِ تشبیہ کی دو صورتیں ہوتی ہیں :
اول : تحققِ امر میں تشبیہ (یعنی دل واقعی جل گیا)
دوم : ہیئتِ کذائیہ میں تشبیہ (یعنی دل جلا تو نہیں لیکن بظاہر لگتا ہے کہ آتشِ خاموش کی طرح جل گیا ہے)
ظاہر ہے غالبؔ کا منشا اور متن کا عمومی رویہ اسی پہ شاہد ہے کہ دل واقعی جل گیا ہے۔ اس لیے ہم "گویا" کو تحققِ امر میں تشبیہ کے لیے بنیادی اور ہیئتِ کذائیہ میں تشبیہ کے لیے ثانوی لفظ مانتے ہیں۔ بیخودؔ موہانی نے بھی لکھا ہے کہ اگر اس مصرعے میں "گویا" نہ ہوتا تو ردیف و قافیہ بیکار ہونے کا اعتراض (مولانا آسی نے یہ اعتراض کیا ہے)درست ہوتا۔
ہیئتِ کذائیہ میں تشبیہ بعض اوقات تحققِ امر میں تشبیہ کے ساتھ واقع ہوتی ہے اور دونوں میں تطبیق یوں ہوتی ہے کہ امر تو متحقق ہو گیا لیکن ظاہری ہیئت میں فلاں تشبیہ ہے۔

Apparently Ghalib's mansha and general attitude of text is witness that the heart is really burnt. That's why we consider ′′ Goya ′′ as a basic word for simile in Tahqqq ' amar and secondary word for simile in Kazaiya. Bykhud Mohani It is also written that if there was no ′′ Goya ′′ in this article then the objection of rhythm and rhymes being useless (Maulana Aasi has objected this) would have been correct.
The simile in Haiti Kazaiya sometimes happens with simile in the study of amar and both of them are such that the command has been agreed, but there is such a simplicity in the apparent status.
