فقیہہِ شہر نے بے زار کر دیا، ورنہ

ابھی تو سانس ہی لینے کی ابتدا کی تھی
شکست وہ تھی، کہ جب میری سربلندی کی
مرے عدو نے مرے واسطے دعا کی تھی
اب ہم غبارِ مہ و سال کے لپیٹ میں ہیں
ہمارے چہرے پہ رونق کبھی بلا کی تھی
