پاکستان کے معروف ادیب، شاعر، محقق، دانشور، مورخ، پاکستان کرونیکلز کے مصنف عقیل عباس جعفری 10 اگست 1957ء کو کراچی میں پیدا ہوئے۔
عقیل عباس جعفری کا نام تحقیق کے شعبے میں نیا نہیں۔ انہوں نے ابتدا معلومات عامہ کے شعبے سے کی اور اس حوالے سے کئی کتابیں تحریر کیں جن میں 366دن، صفر سے 100 تک، جہان معلومات، ہے حقیقت کچھ، ایک سال پچاس سوال، کون بنے گا کروڑ پتی اور قائداعظم معلومات کے آئینے میں شامل ہیں۔ ’’پاکستان کے سیاسی وڈیرے‘‘ سیاست کے موضوع پر ان کی پہلی کتاب تھی جس نے شائع ہوتے ہی تہلکہ مچا دیا۔ یہی وہ کتاب تھی جس نے سیاست کی دنیا میں ’’سیاسی وڈیرے‘‘ کی اصطلاح کو متعارف کروایا۔ ’’پاکستان کے سیاسی وڈیرے‘‘ کے علاوہ عقیل عباس جعفری نے سیاست ہی کے موضوع پر کئی اور کتابیں بھی لکھیں جن میں پاکستان کی ناکام سازشیں، پاکستان کی انتخابی سیاست، قائداعظم کی ازدواجی زندگی، لیاقت علی خان قتل کیس اور پاکستان کا قومی ترانہ: کیا ہے حقیقت، کیا ہے فسانہ؟ شامل ہیں۔ انہوں نے موسیقی کے موضوع پر لکھے گئے شاہد احمد دہلوی کے نادر و نایاب مضامین کو بھی ’’مضامین موسیقی‘‘ کے نام سے مدون کیا ہے۔
عقیل عباس جعفری کا شمار اپنی نسل کے نمائندہ شعرأ میں ہوتا ہے۔ ان کی تخلیقات ادب کے معتبر جرائد میں شائع ہوتی رہتی ہیں۔ وہ 2000ء میں ریڈیو پاکستان کا ’’بہترین نعت گو‘‘ اور’’ بہترین قومی نغمہ نگار‘‘ کا ایوارڈ بھی حاصل کر چکے ہیں۔
وہ بین الاقوامی مشاعروں اور سیمینارز میں شرکت کے لیے امریکا، کینیڈا، برطانیہ، عوامی جمہوریہ چین، بھارت اور متحدہ عرب امارات کے سفر بھی کر چکے ہیں۔ ان کی غزلیہ شاعری کا مجموعہ ’’راستا‘‘ کے نام سے اور مذہبی شاعری کا مجموعہ ’’تروتازہ‘‘ کے نام سے زیر اشاعت ہے۔ ’’پاکستان کرونیکل‘‘ عقیل عباس جعفری کی بیس سالہ محنت کا ثمر ہے۔ یہ کتاب اس طرز پر شائع ہونے والے بین الاقوامی کرونیکلز کے معیارات کو سامنے رکھتے ہوئے تالیف کی گئی ہے اور اس میں پاکستان کی تاریخ کا ایک ایک لمحہ محفوظ کر دیا گیا ہے۔ تحقیق اور پاکستانیات کے شعبے میں ان کی خدمات کے اعتراف کے طور پر پاکستان کوئز سوسائٹی نے انہیں 2004ء میں کوئز ایکسیلینس ایوارڈ، وزڈم پاکستان فورم نے 2010ء میں ہیروز آف پاکستان کمال کارکردگی ایوارڈ اور سینٹر آف سوک ایجوکیشن پاکستان نے 2010ء کا سوک ایجوکیشن ایوارڈ عطا کیا۔

Aqeel Abbas Jafri was born on August 10, 1957 in Karachi, a well known poet, researcher, intellectual, historian, author of Pakistan Chronicles.
Aqeel Abbas Jafri's name is not new in the research department. He started from the public information department and wrote many books regarding it for 366 days, from zero to 100, world information, is reality, One year fifty questions, who will become a millionaire and Quaid-e-Azam are included in the mirror of information. ′′ Political feudal of Pakistan ′′ was his first book on the topic of politics that shocked as soon as it was published. That was the book which was Introduced the term ′′ political feudal ′′ in the world of politics. Apart from ′′ political feudal of Pakistan Aqeel Abbas Jafri also wrote several other books on the topic of politics including Pakistan's failed conspiracy of Pakistan. Election politics, Quaid-e-Azam's marital life, Liaqat Ali Khan murder case and the national anthem of Pakistan: What is the reality, what is the fiction? Included. He has also made the rare articles of Shahid Ahmad Dehlvi written on the subject of music as ′′ Articles of Music
Aqeel Abbas Jafri is counted in the representative poets of his generation. His creations continue to be published in the prestigious magazine of literature. He is the ′′ Best Naat Go ′′ and ′′ Best National Lyricist of Radio Pakistan in 2000 Have also received the award of ′′
He has also traveled to the United States, Canada, UK, People's Republic of China, India and the UAE to attend international poets and seminars. His collection of Ghazalia poetry named ′′ Rasta ′′ and religious poetry. The collection has been published as ′′ Fresh Pakistan Chronicle ′′ is the samar of Aqeel Abbas Jafri's twenty years of hard work. The book was compiled in the forefront of the standards of international chronicles published in this style. A moment of Pakistan's history has been preserved. As acknowledged for his services in the sector of research and Pakistan, the Pakistan Quiz Society gave him the Quiz Excellence Award in 2004, the Wizidem Pakistan Forum 2010 Heroes of Pakistan Kamal Performance Award and Center of Civic Education Pakistan awarded the 2010 Civic Education Award.
