میں نے معیارِ تصّور سے بنایا ہے تجھے
میری پروینِ تخیّل، میری نسرینِ نگاہ
میں نے تقدیس کے پُھولوں سے سجایا ہے تجھے
دودھ کی طرح کنواری تھی، زمستاں کی وہ رات
جب تیرے شبنمی عارض نے دھکنا سیکھا
نیند کے سائے میں ہر پُھول نے انگڑائی لی
نرم کلیوں نے تیرے دَم سے چَٹکنا سیکھا
میری تخیّل کی جھنکار کو ساکت پا کر
چُوڑیاں تیری کلائی میں کھنک اُٹھتی تھیں
اُف میری تشنہ لبی، تشنہ لبی، تشنہ لبی
کچی کلیاں تیرے ہونٹوں کی مہک اُٹھتی تھیں
وقت کے دَستِ گراں بار سے مایُوس نہ ہو
کس کو معلوم ہے کیا ہونا ہے، اور کیا ہو جائے
