مآلٍ احتساب یہ کہ ہم بڑے خراب ہیں
کسی پہ طنز کیا کریں کہ خود ہی آب آب ہیں
بصیرتوں کے ارتقاء کی انتہا ہے آگہی
مری نظر سے دیکھیے تو خواہشیں سراب ہیں
بہ اعتبارٍ علم جن کی حیثیت فقیر سی
بہ اعتبارٍ سیم و زر وہ صاحبٍ نصاب ہیں
کئی کا درد دیکھ کر تڑپ گئے تو رو دیے
شعارٍ درد مند کو بصارتیں عذاب ہیں
خرد تمام مسئلوں کا حل جنوں سے پوچھتی
جواب ایک چاہیے سوال بے حساب ہیں
ہمارے بعد کسمپرسئی غزل کا دور ہے
ہمیں تو خیر چند قارئین دستیاب ہیں
سوالٍ غیرتٍ خودی کا اے ! خلش جواب دو
جو بندگانٍ اہلٍ زر ہیں کیا وہ کامیاب ہیں ؟
