یہ اور بات ہے کہ مداوائے غم نہ تھا
لیکن ترا خلوص توقع سے کم نہ تھا
کیا کیا فراغتیں تھیں میسر حیات کو
وہ دن بھی تھے کہ تیرے سوا کوئی غم نہ تھا
کچھ ہم گرفتِ گردشِ دوراں میں آ گئے
کچھ دل بھی تیرے عشق میں ثابت قدم نہ تھا
آئے ہیں یاد تجھ سے بچھڑ کر وہ لوگ بھی
جن سے تعلقات بگڑنے کا غم نہ تھا
وہ دورِ عشق محض بھی کیا وقت تھا عظیم
جب دل پہ نقش مہر و نشانِ ستم نہ تھا

This is another thing that there was no remedy for sorrow
But your sincerity was not less than expected
What were the grants of life?
Those were the days when there was no sorrow except you
Some of us have been caught in the rotation of time.
Some heart was not stable in your love
I remember those people after leaving you.
With whom I did not have the grief of spoiling the relationship
That era of love was just a great time.
When there was no impression of tyranny on the heart
