میں نام لیوا ہوں تیرا، تو معتبر کر دے
حیات خوب نہیں ہے تو مختصر کر دے
حصارِ ذات کے زندانِ بے اماں کی خیر
غبارِ راہ کی صورت ہی منتشر کر دے
دروغِ مصلحت آمیز کے خرابے میں
انا پسند مزاجوں کو دربدر کر دے
گئے دنوں کو تلاشیں کہ اگلی رُت میں کُھلیں
تو موسموں کو ہواؤں سے باخبر کر دے
لباسِ فقر میں اتنی تَوَنگری تو رہے
دلِ غریب کو وسعت میں بحر و بر کر دے
میں ایک عمر سے جاگا کیا ہوں جس کے لیے
دعائے نیم شبی میں ذرا اثر کر دے
وکیل شخص، کہ شاعر نہ ا سکی فکر نہ فن
تمام عیب ہیں، چاہے تو سب ہنر کر دے
