تمام عمر بھلا کون ساتھ دیتا ہے

*غلام ربانی تاباں*، *۱۵؍فروری ۱۹۱۴ء* کو *قائم گنج ضلع فرخ آباد* میں پیدا ہوئے۔ آگرہ کالج سے ایل ایل بی کی ، کچھ عرصہ وکالت کے پیشے سے وابستہ رہے لیکن شاعرانہ مزاج نے انہیں دیر تک اس پیشے میں نہیں رہنے دیا ۔ وکالت چھوڑ کر دہلی آگئے اور مکتبہ جامعہ سے وابستہ ہوگئے اور ایک لمبے عرصے تک مکتبے کے جنرل مینیجر کے طور پر کام کرتے رہے ۔
جس ترقی پسند فکر کے تحت کی گئی شاعری کا بیشتر حصہ محروم نظر آتا ہے ۔ تاباں نے ابتدا میں دوسرے ترقی پسند شعرا کی طرح صرف نظمیں لکھیں لیکن وہ اپنے پہلے شعری مجموعے’ سازلرزاں ‘(۱۹۵۰) کی اشاعت کے بعد صرف غزلیں کہنے لگے ۔

غلام ربانی تاباںؔ کے یوم وفات پر منتخب اشعار
رہِ طلب میں کسے آرزوئے منزل ہے
شعور ہو تو سفر خود سفر کا حاصل ہے

بستیوں میں ہونے کو حادثے بھی ہوتے ہیں
پتھروں کی زد پر کچھ آئنے بھی ہوتے ہیں
—
چھٹے غبار نظر بام طور آ جائے
پیو شراب کہ چہرے پہ نور آ جائے
—
نکھر گئے ہیں پسینے میں بھیگ کر عارض
گلوں نے اور بھی شبنم سے تازگی پائی
—
کسی کے ہاتھ میں جام شراب آیا ہے
کہ ماہتاب تہ آفتاب آیا ہے
—
غمِ زندگی اک مسلسل عذاب
غمِ زندگی سے مفر بھی نہیں
—
یادوں کے سائے ہیں نہ امیدوں کے ہیں چراغ
ہر شے نے ساتھ چھوڑ دیا ہے تری طرح
—
میرے افکار کی رعنائیاں تیرے دم سے
میری آواز میں شامل تری آواز بھی ہے
—
*بڑے بڑوں کے قدم ڈگمگا گئے تاباںؔ*
*رہِ حیات میں ایسے مقام بھی آئے*
—
تباہیوں کا تو دل کی گلہ نہیں لیکن
کسی غریب کا یہ آخری سہارا تھا
—
آنسوؤں سے کوئی آواز کو نسبت نہ سہی
بھیگتی جائے تو کچھ اور نکھرتی جائے
—
شباب حسن ہے برق و شرر کی منزل ہے
یہ آزمائش قلب و نظر کی منزل ہے
—
لب نگار کو زحمت نہ دو خدا کے لیے
ہم اہل شوق زبان نظر سمجھتے ہیں
—
منزلیں راہ میں تھیں نقش قدم کی صورت
ہم نے مڑ کر بھی نہ دیکھا کسی منزل کی طرف
—
غبار راہ چلا ساتھ یہ بھی کیا کم ہے
سفر میں اور کوئی ہم سفر ملے نہ ملے
—
جنوں میں اور خرد میں در حقیقت فرق اتنا ہے
وہ زیر در ہے ساقی اور یہ زیر دام ہے ساقی
—
*ادھر چمن میں زر گل لٹا ادھر تاباںؔ*
*ہماری بے سر و سامانیوں کے دن آئے*
—
قربتیں ہی قربتیں ہیں دوریاں ہی دوریاں
آرزو جادو کے صحرا میں مجھے دوڑائے ہے
—
ایک تم ہی نہیں دنیا میں جفاکار بہت
دل سلامت ہے تو دل کے لئے آزار بہت
—
ملے گا درد تو درماں کی آرزو ہوگی
تمام عمر غرض صرف جستجو ہوگی
—
یہ مے کدہ ہے کلیسا و خانقاہ نہیں
عروجِ فکر و فروغ نظر کی منزل ہے

*میں نے کب دعویٰ الہام کیا ہے تاباںؔ*
*لکھ دیا کرتا ہوں جو دل پہ گزرتی جائے*

* Ghulam Rabbani Taban *, * was born in * Qaimanj District Farrukhabad from Agra College to LLB, for some time he was associated with the profession of advocacy but poetic mood. He was not allowed to stay in this profession for long. Left advocacy and came to Delhi and joined the school university and worked as the general manager of the school for a long time.
The progressive thought under which most of the poetry seems to be deprived. Taban initially wrote only poems like other progressive poets, but he only said ghazals after the publishing of his first poetry collection 'Sazlarzan' (thought) Look.

For God's sake, don't bother the lab-niggar
We, the people of interest, understand the language by sight.

Destinations were on the way like footsteps
We didn't even look back towards any destination.
