ہوئی تیری آمد آمد تو برائے خیر مقدم
کہیں کھِل گئے گلستاں کہیں ہو گیا چراغاں
ہے جہانِ آب و گل میں ترے دم قدم سےرونق
تو فروغِ بزم ہستی، تو بہارِ باغِ امکاں
ترا ذکر جب کیا ہے تو رواں ہوئے سفینے
ترا نام جب لیا ہے تو ٹھہر گئے ہیں طوفاں
تیرے در پہ حاضری کا وہ سماں بھی کیا سماں ہے
مرے دل کی التجائیں، مر ےآنسوؤں کی لڑیاں
وہ ہے خوش نصیب جس کو ملی عزتِ غلامی
ترے در کے سب غلامی وہ فقیر ہو کہ سلطاں
تری ذات سے محبت، ترے حکم کی اطاعت
یہی زندگی کامقصد، یہی اصل دین و ایماں
تری زندگی کا پر تو ہے کمالِ آدمیّت
تری شخصیت سے قائم ہے وقارِ نوعِ انساں
یہ درود کی ہے خوشبو کہ فضا مہک رہی ہے
میں غزل سنا رہا ہوں کہ چٹک رہی ہیں کلیاں
