جدا بھی ہو کے وہ اک پل کبھی جدا نہ ہوا
یہ اور بات کہ دیکھے اسے زمانہ ہوا
نہ پوچھ میرا پتہ موجۂ ہوا ہوں میں
بھلا ہوا کا بھی کوئی کبھی ٹھکانہ ہوا
ہر ایک سمت صحیفے کھلے پڑے تھے یہاں
ترا نصیب کہ تو حرف آشنا نہ ہوا
پناہ ملتی کسے میری کبریائی سے
خدا کا شکر میں بندہ ہوا خدا نہ ہوا
اس اپنی کھوج میں کیا کیا کھلے نہ بھید مگر
میں ہوں بھی یا کہ نہیں مجھ پہ آئنہ نہ ہوا
ندائے غیب تھی، تیری صدا تھی، دھڑکن تھی
مرے شعور سے اتنا بھی فیصلہ نہ ہوا
شجر تو راہ کا سایہ ہیں، ان کو کیا معلوم
کہاں سے آیا مسافر کدھر روانہ ہوا
فقیر ہو کے لیا تو نے کیا بشیر کہ جب
گلیم پوش بھی تو ہو کے باصفا نہ ہوا
