کبھی خاکِ کوچہُ یار ہم کبھی شہریارِ بہار ہم
کبھی چل پڑے تری راہ میں تو حدِ جنوں سے گزر گئے
ترے انتظار میں ہو گئے کبھی نقشِ راہ گزار ہم
ہمیں کُشتگانِ حیات سے ہیں جنونِ عشق کی عظمتیں
کبھی ہنس پڑے تہِ تیغ ہم کبھی جھوم اٹھے سرِ دار ہم
رہے مضطرب کبھی مدتوں غمِ دہر کی کڑی دھوپ میں
جو سکوں ملا ہے تو سو لئے کبھی زیرِ گیسوئے یار ہم
تجھے پا سکیں کہ نہ پا سکیں کوئی زندگی کی لگن تو ہے
کہ خوشی سے کیسے اجاڑ دیں تری آرزو کا دیار ہم
غمِ زندگی سے شکست کیا رہِ زندگی میں قدم بڑھا
تو جو ساتھ ہو تو بدل بھی دیں یہ مزاجِ لیل و نہار ہم
کبھی پاس آ کے نگاہ کر، ہے یہ زندگی ترا آئینہ
ترا روپ ہم، ترا پیار ہم، تری آرزو کا سنگار ہم
