belonged to an academic and literary family. His elder brother also used to do poetry in the name of * Nawa Naqvi Tanveer Naqvi started poetry at the age of 15 and at the age of 21 his first collection of golden dreams in 1940 Before it was published in 1938, he had started film songwriting from director Nazir&#039;s film poet.<br \/>\nAfter the publication of Golden Dreams, director AR Kardar invited him to come to Bombay where he lived for almost eight years, during this time he wrote about a dozen films including Anmal Ghari and Laila Majnu&#039;s songs are very popular.
