Salveto Imports and Distribution is seeking an experienced wine sales professional to join our team in Maryland with territory emphasis in the Baltimore and Annapolis areas, however territory can be adjusted to maximize the experience/relationships the chosen candidate brings.

Salveto sits at the intersection of great, family-owned vineyards and wineries and high-quality, independent, restaurants and wine shops, where those wines are appreciated. We are dedicated to serving our customers well and to learning and sharing the stories of our suppliers. Salveto Imports and Distribution is a mid-sized distributor serving Virginia, DC and Maryland. We are also an importer of wine and spirits serving distributors in other markets.

To do the job well and succeed with us, these skills and traits are most important.
ALL Experience in wine distribution and/or fine dining restaurants and/or fine wine shops.

• THE HUSTLE: Self-motivated, organized, and hard-working people will always do well. We have the wines, the customers, the infrastructure, and the promotional tools and you should be driven to take full advantage.

• To maximize your time in your territory, you should live in Maryland and have a reliable car and a valid driver’s license.

• Possess a true love of food and wine and have a genuine interest in continuing to learn and share your knowledge with our customers.

• You must be able to communicate effectively, including well-worded phone calls, emails and texts to fellow team members and customers and possess an urgency to reply to team members and customer inquiries quickly, including evenings and weekends.

• Seeking a career job. We are looking for someone to build long-term relationships with our suppliers and our customers and who wants to grow with and help steer the direction of our company.

We expect our sales team members to taste new wines for inclusion in our product mix and we work together to determine who we want to represent. We offer a commission based pay structure that does not cap your earning potential, and a set benefits that includes auto & phone allowances, and routine business expenses.

We are seeking a full-time sales representative to start September 1st or sooner.

Additional Expectations:

• Lifting up to 45lbs, bending, sitting, carrying, standing, manual dexterity, reaching, visual acuity, driving.

• Ability to work evening and weekend events
