Role: Sr. QA Analyst (Process Improvement) Location: Remote, CTH role. Must be from the DMV or WV areas as they will need to come with their own cost for meetings and team events to the Reston, VA or DC offices. Location: Reston, VA Interview Process: 2 ( initial screen and panel interview) Looking for someone with good experience in Project Management Lifecycle processes, SDLC processes, process assessments and improvement and software product audit. Will be involved in assessing and auditing other team's processes making sure they are following the processes set forth. Should have some experience with change management systems. Must have experience with process asset library. Conducting Quality Gates. Presentations experience Needed: Will be involved presenting new process improvements topics, audit reports and some training on new processes and process improvements procedures. Must come from an Agile background and software background to understand the SDLC part. Metrics and analysis are a plus. Must come from a product background. 4-5 years of process improvement and assessment experience is needed. The ideal candidates will be coming from a technical background moved into product management and presently involved purely in process assessments and improvement and product audit. Must have an understanding of sprint planning, product backlog and other product related processes so that process improvement and audits are conducted. JOB DESCRIPTION: ROLE: The Software Quality Assurance Team monitors programs/projects in the organization to ensure the practices, polices, processes and regulations are adhered, review current policies, standards, plans, processes, and procedures and conduct assessments at the program/project level, report finding and track to closure. The team will provide recommendations for standards, procedures, processes and guidelines for implementing program/project Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) activities, from project initiation through delivery. In addition the Software QA Team will report non-compliance issues and opportunities for improvement and track to closure and audit processes to determine maturity, reusability, uniformity, and repeatability. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 50% Create audit checklists and Agile (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum) and waterfall methodologies. Conduct assessments of products/programs/projects (medium to complex) within the organization to ensure compliancy to published standards, processes, and/or templates for SAfe, Kanban, Scrum practices. Identify process and procedural issues based upon audit findings and initiate resolution to these problems. Communicate with internal audit peers and management regarding status, audit issues and deadlines. Conduct trainings and presentations on process governance and improvement topics. Collect objective evidence of quality related data and/or trends. Monitor and track quality action items and/or track quality issues through resolution. Participate in Audit processes for compliancy and uniformity to ensure deliverables to the customer are consistent. Ensures Quality Service Level Requirements (SLR's) are adhered for assigned programs/projects. 30% Develops departmental materials including SOP's to maintain process libraries outlining governance, change management, auditing, reporting and metrics. Conducts reviews, walkthroughs, assessments, and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of current processes/procedures, techniques, systems and associates for medium to complex projects. Participate in workgroups. 20% Conducts internal consistency checks ensuring uniform and fair auditing practices throughout the department, across all lines of business. Preparation of QA reports. Assist in the preparation of senior level presentations. Process change requests reporting and tracking. Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Education Details: Computer Science or related technical field Experience: 5 years Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from initiation to completion with focus on process improvements, assessments, audits and quality controls In Lieu of Education In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Hands on experience of Agile, Spiral and Waterfall methodologies, Advanced Functional knowledge of SAFe and Product management Proven experience in creating and delivering trainings and presentations Proven experience with the execution and administration of Quality/Process Improvement best practices, Advanced Experience working with Program/Project Quality Assurance/Process Improvement Plans, Advanced Experience working with Quality Gates or Quality Checkpoints as part of the SDLC, Advanced Ability to gather information and resolve issues independently, Advanced Ability to identify, manage and track progress of small to medium complexity projects to support organizational long range business objectives, Advanced Experience with quality assurance and process improvement, and methodologies and practices in an IT project development, custom software solutions and maintenance environment, Advanced Lorven Technologies
