Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist

Meierotto Jewelers is Kansas City’s leading jewelry store. We carry a great selection of diamonds and jewelry, watches including the top designer brands! We are located just minutes north of downtown Kansas City.

We are seeking a Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist to join our team. A successful candidate must be an organized, hands-on, and proactive team player. This part-time position is responsible for building and executing creative strategies and tactics that support business objectives that drive greater awareness of the Meierotto Jewelers brand. This role will help shape processes to align with best practices, support digital print, and social media marketing strategies, and identify and implement marketing initiatives that drive engagement, brand preference and sales.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative for advertising campaigns

• Manage product photography efforts

• Assist with in-store signage and merchandising

• Monitor online marketing and social media trends, and best practices

• Propose content and campaigns and ideas to reach new audiences

• Develop and create social media ads and campaigns

• Create and implement advertising and marketing across all platforms

• Conduct market research and monitor industry trends and behaviors

• Maintain and update website content as needed

• Lead and be the creative mind, writer and designer for a Meierotto Magazine

• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, creative writing, marketing, communications or comparable

• 2+ years of experience in marketing required

• Strong project management skills

• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe software suite

• Experience with social media tools required

• Proficient with creative layout, creative writing and editing copy

• Photography and photo editing skills are a plus

This is a part-time position consisting of approximately 20-30 hours, with potential of full-time. On site position only with no possibility of performing tasks remote.
