Position purpose: To provide excellent customer service to our customers Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: (material responsibilities and essentials duties)
- To be friendly and helpful to all customers consistently
- To promptly greet and acknowledge every guest around you with a smile and/or verbal greeting
- Always put the customer's needs first above all other duties
- Suggest additional items to the customer
- Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at registers
- Ring each item on the correct key at the proper price
- Minimize cash discrepancies so they do not exceed +/- $5.00 per day
- Thank all customers at the end of the transaction
- Handle difficult/challenging situations with a high level of professionalism
- Follow simple drink recipes when preparing drinks
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, and display maintenance
- Stock the floor as needed.
- Keep the store clean and free of debris on the floor and counter tops
- Complete housekeeping tasks as needed
- Follow recipes and portion control of produced items in the store
- Dispose of cull items properly and place on the correct paperwork

Qualifications: (minimum educational and experience qualifications, required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, required certifications, etc.)
- Able to have basic math skills
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Able to independently evaluate current conditions against standard and perform tasks necessary to bring areas to standard.

Must obtain California Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of employment
Cash handling is required. Cash discrepancies must not exceed +/- $5.00 per day
Some exposure to cleaning products, (bathroom and toilet cleansers, window cleaners, wax, wax stripper, graffiti remover, paint remover etc), paint, and other chemicals is required
Equipment used: glass handling, deli slicer, knives, tortilla warmer, hot beverage equipment, CO2

PART-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS: - PAID SICK LEAVE (PSL) - Part-time and Seasonal employees begin accruing PSL at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked. Employees cannot use PSL until after their 90 days of employment. Part-time employees may use up to 24 hours PSL per year, and cannot accrue more than 48 hours at any given time.
