Zooba is now hiring Hosts for our Nolita restaurant. We are introducing an expanded menu of the tastes of Egypt to Manhattan with full dine-in service. Experience with Egyptian, Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cuisine in a restaurant setting is a plus.
The Job Details - Greet and welcome all guests ensuring a positive first impression and a friendly welcome to Zooba.
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining area coordinating with the FOH Service Manager on wait times and reservations.
- Master knowledge of all Zooba food and beverage menu items and the ability to respond to guest questions about Zooba and about the menu.
- Show curiosity and love for Zooba's unique take on Egyptian cuisine and an eagerness to continue to learn and grow.
- Assist in delivering take out orders to guests in the restaurant.
- Consistently follow Zooba's steps of service with efficiency and a positive attitude, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service.
- Take care of guest needs, ensuring constant communication with the service team, managers, and the kitchen during service; handle any guest complaints or concerns.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service.
- Always adhere to Zooba's safety policies, alcoholic beverage service rules, and Department of Health guidelines.

- Experience with Rezy of similar online reservation App
- Knowledge of service standards and steps of service
- Able to service customer needs and questions
- Able to stay calm and productive under pressure
- English fluency with strong communication skills
- NYC DOH food protection certificate a plus
- Completion of high school diploma
- Able to stand for an 8-hour shift and lift 50 lbs.
- Flexible schedule required (morning, evening and weekend shifts)
