Offered salary and other compensation:

Depending on your experience and performance record, we offer a yearly salary of $150,000 to $200,000, including a base salary and performance-based commissions. Additionally, we offer:

Your schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Your mission & responsibilities as Residential Landscape Designer:

You will meet with homeowners at our Sun Valley office. No driving in LA traffic from appointment to appointment. You will work with clients to design their projects, in coordination with our in-house support team—including junior designers, apprentices, estimators, and others.

Key objectives include:

  • Engage with 3-5 new clients weekly, sign them up for Landscaping Design Agreements.
  • Translate client ideas into designs they love, working within their budgets.
  • Collaborate with junior designers, apprentices, and estimators to refine and finalize designs swiftly.
  • Manage client presentations from conceptual designs to revisions and ready for estimation.
  • Successfully sell $100k - $200k of the construction projects a week.

Required experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of landscaping design/construction experience
  • Provide portfolio CAD/Hand Sketch Designs. Completed job photos is a plus.
  • Some sales experience is a plus. We will train the right person to be a high percentage closer.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and create a realistic budget.
  • Knowledge of local plants, space planning, and construction techniques
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
  • Construction knowledge is a big plus
  • Ability and willingness to commute to Sun Valley Office daily
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working with clients and at a computer
  • This position will require up to 10% of travel for Job Walks and occasional client visits.
