Join us in making a significant impact! Unit Information: The Center for Safe and Healthy Families focuses on Child Protection and Maltreatment at Primary Children's Hospital. Our specialized team delivers compassionate, trauma-informed care to children facing issues related to physical abuse, sexual abuse, and medical neglect at the Children's Justice Center. As a nurse in this role, you will assist with examinations and evidence collection. This position operates on a PRN basis, and prompt response to calls within one hour is required. Nurses will collaborate closely with advanced practitioners and the Primary Children's medical team, as well as local Children's Justice Center Multidisciplinary Teams. We are looking for applicants with exceptional assessment skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and strong critical thinking capabilities. Posting Specifics: Benefits Eligible: NO Shift Details: 4 hours a week as needed; no benefits. Must arrive and report to location within 1 hour of receiving calls. Location: This position serves the Uintah/Daggett area and the Roosevelt area. Minimum Qualifications: Current RN License in the state of practice. Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Preferred Qualifications: One or more years of RN experience. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution; degree verification required. Physical Requirements: Significant visual duties including reading information and assessing patient needs. Frequent communication with patients and care teams, necessitating verbal and auditory skills, especially in emergencies. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment accurately, including frequent computer use for patient documentation. Physical ability to lift patients and manipulate various weights of equipment and supplies. Mobility to walk, assist with patient transport, and navigate busy environments. Capability to stand in one position for prolonged periods.
