Job Summary

As a Flu Shot Vaccination nurse, you will be part of a team helping patients safely receive their flu shot vaccination. Your responsibilities will include monitoring patients during the vaccination process, monitoring vitals, managing adverse reactions, performing setup and clean-up, and executing timely documentation. You will collaborate with a team of nurses and allied health professionals to provide outstanding patient care.

You must have a detailed understanding of nursing ethics and professional practice standards, relevant state regulations, and standard Vaccination laws and regulations. You must also possess excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited nursing program
• A minimum of one year of RN experience preferred
• Previous experience administering vaccinations preferred

Licensure and Certifications

• Registered Nurse Licensure within the state of practice
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
