Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Red Hat Linux Administrator for a full-time direct hire opportunity that is in Cleveland, OH. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience in Linux Administration including Red Hat. The Linux Administrator leads, designs, implements, and supports large complex global enterprise projects on IBM pSeries platform until completion.

Salary Range: $100-120K plus benefits and bonus

Red Hat Linux Admin job responsibilities include:

• Leads, trains, and supports other platform team members on all supported Midrange technologies.

• Provides Enterprise Architectural design recommendations.

• Demonstrated ability to make enterprise recommendations that simplify and reduce Enterprise System costs across Midrange applications.

• Demonstrated ability to forecast growth across all platforms and make recommendations for hardware scaling.

• Demonstrated ability to make Enterprise System security, stability and resiliency improvement recommendations for large complex Enterprise Systems.

• Provides level 3 /4 support for critical system challenges until resolution for AIX, Linux, and Enterprise Storage related issues.

• Executes strategic enterprise system IT roadmaps.

• Identifies opportunities to improve Enterprise System availability and resiliency, recommends solutions to improve system efficiencies.

• Effectively communicates with other global leaders.

• Change Management, Compliance and Asset Management Lifecycle process experience.

• Proven System Administration skills on IBM Power Systems.

• Proven track record of leading large complex global projects of varying length and complexity.

• Provides 24x7 system support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4-year IT degree in computer science (or related area) required

• 8+ years of experience within Information Technology industry required

• 5+ years of Linux RedHat System Administration

• Proven RedHat Ansible experience

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced global environment while managing multiple priorities

• AIX is a plus

• Ability to manage Linux in an X86 environment.

• Working knowledge of various Linux OS

• Proven communication skills, verbal and written

• Ability to self-direct and work independently

• IBM pSeries hardware knowledge is a plus
