+ GENERAL SUMMARY
+ The Radiology Supervisor is responsible and accountable for designated modality services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing the day to day operations of the designated modalities to establish coordinated services within the radiology department and across the organization. The supervisor has 24-hour accountability for modality operations. Independently performs assigned responsibilities but seeks guidance from the director and/or upper management given unusual or unanticipated circumstances that require deviation of policy/practice or allocation of funds to resolve. Reports to department leadership.
+ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Participates in the evaluation, development and implementation of business operations and clinical workflows to ensure organizational and operational efficiencies of the Radiology department and promote quality timely patient care and services.
+ Works collaboratively with the department director to promote the effective delivery of best practice and patient focused care.
+ Manages and resolves issues and concerns to ensure patient safety, satisfaction and quality standards.
+ Assists with developing and maintaining designated budgets as well as participating in long range planning, design operations and capital equipment planning.
+ Ensures all regulatory, accreditation, & education requirements and standards are met and maintained.
+ Attracts, motivates and mentors talent to achieve the organizational goals of the radiology department.
+ Serves as a resource to staff regarding specific skill demonstration, promotion of knowledge and communications.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
+ Certification/registration as a Radiologic/Imaging Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) required.
+ MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
+ Professional knowledge of radiology procedures and modalities as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment as normally acquired through completion of two years post high school training from an approved school.
+ College degree in radiology or related field and/or previous supervisory experience preferred.
+ Two to three years progressively more responsible work related experience.
+ Demonstrates the ability to plan, supervise and establish a professional working environment within areas of responsibility.
+ Interpersonal skills necessary in order to direct and assign work to subordinates, explain policies and procedures and communicate effectively among multiple departments.
+ Must possess the ability to identify problems and implement solutions for operational and organizational issues.

+ CPR training required or obtained within 45 days of employment and maintained for duration of employment.
+ WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Radiology/Imaging areas work environment with rare exposure to physical discomforts due to unpleasant odors from specimens and chemicals. Occasional exposure to infectious agents when handling specimens or hazardous materials but potential for personal harm or injury is reduced when proper safety and health precautions are followed. Regular exposure to radiation. Minimum chance of injury once established safety procedures are followed.
