Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including initial planning, design, scheduling, and implementation.
2. Develop and direct the project strategy, ensuring that the scope of work is well-defined and in compliance with the project's contractual obligations.
3. Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
4. Manage project budget, including tracking project costs and ensuring expenses are within the approved budget.
5. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists, providing insightful feedback on blueprints and design plans.
6. Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project.
7. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project pitfalls.
8. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, and local and state regulations are met.
9. Resolve any problems that may arise due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather changes or emergencies.
10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members, to keep the project aligned with their expectations and needs.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a construction project management role (commercial projects), with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
3. Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and technical drawings.
4. Extensive knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
5. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
6. Strong knowledge of construction budgeting and the ability to manage project finances effectively.
7. Excellent knowledge of project management principles and practices.
8. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
9. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage and resolve conflicts professionally.
10. Proficiency in construction management software packages.
11. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
