Position Overview::

The Plant Controller is responsible for the accuracy of the U.S. and JOA financial statements. The individual in this position must have strong technical accounting/financial abilities, excellent analytical skills and the ability to partner/collaborate with and work across functions within the organization.

What you will do::
  • Drive the financial performance of the site, pro-actively identifying opportunities, identifying and mitigating risks, and establishing and enforcing internal control.
  • Own / lead all aspects of month end close including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Own SG&A budget for various U.S. cost centers as well as portions of the balance sheet and prepare the trial balance.
  • Drive in-depth daily, weekly, and monthly variance analysis and partner with plant leaders to elaborate and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze and report on product costs, margins, and inventory level.
  • Build and maintain repeatable financial models aimed at facilitating decision making.
  • Lead and own the plant AOP.
  • Continuous improvement experience in a plant setting.
  • Business partner with Manufacturing, RAQA, R&D, Marketing, Sales, and HR.
Skills for Success::
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA preferred)
  • 8 years’ experience required including 3-5 years supervisory experience.
  • Must have experience working in a manufacturing / plant environment.
  • Must have Cost Accounting experience and working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook and QAD.
  • Medical device experience preferred but not required.
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to travel 10%- 20%
