** OEM Sales Manager - Small Engines**

**Description**
An OEM Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing sales to established OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer) accounts within the Outdoor Power equipment industry. OEM Sales Managers are responsible for managing all aspects of the relationship with OEMs through account activities, customer support and utilization of technical engine knowledge.
**Responsibilities:**
**Works directly with OEMs:**
* Serves as the direct conduit between Kawasaki and the assigned OEM accounts.
* Travels to OEMs to present newest products and to ensure a positive growing business relationship.
* Actively leads the preparation and execution of regular, cross-functional and senior level OEM meetings.
* Develops and maintains relationships with key Purchasing, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and Executive contacts at OEMs.
* Investigates and helps resolve customer issues, i.e. Application or quality issues.
* Accurately forecasts engine sales and leads order management strategies for assigned OEMs.
* Develops new OEM Business as directed.
**Works with other departments of Kawasaki through the following activities:**
* Write up new OEM Engine Specifications, facilitate engine samples and test parts, and upgrade engine specifications on an as needed basis.
* Maintains communication within departments of Kawasaki, such as Sales Coordinators, Sales Administration, R&D, Applications Engineering Group; Tech Services and Quality Department.
* Provides OEM meeting minutes and account updates for review by Kawasaki management as needed.
* Remain responsive to internal and external information requests and act/reply with a sense of urgency.
**Maintains a proficient level of knowledge regarding Outdoor Power equipment market:**
* Researching and maintaining information on competitors for current market intelligence.
* Gains specific market information from OEMs or other customer base.
* Subscribes/reads specific turf/industrial periodicals related to our market or potential market.
* Identifies and communicates government regulations that will have impact on our industry.
* Identifies and communicates new trends that pose potential adverse effects on our products.
* Works closely with New Product Development to communicate market needs and sales projections for new products or product enhancements.
**50% travel expected, with some international**
**Education and Experience:**
* Bachelor's degree in related field.
* 6+ years related sales experience, preferably with medium to large size OEMs/customers.
* Experience selling products such as Outdoor Power equipment, automotive parts, engines, or similar.
* Strong account management skills, including organization and communication.
* Strong Presentation skills
* Proficient in Salesforce or other CRM programs.
**Other Qualifications:**
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Able to successfully prioritize and organize multiple, competing tasks.
* Must demonstrate a positive attitude; be self-motivated and able to work as an integral part of a team.
* Willingness to accept responsibility and be relied on to perform.
* Possesses solid financial and analytical acumen and an understanding of the interrelation of various other organizational functions such as engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales and marketing.
* Must be able to influence positive action across teams without having formal authority.
* Must possess a commitment to personal professional development.
* Attendance must be maintained at a satisfactory level.
