The Nurse Vaccinator administers vaccinations to the patients and residents in the Long-Term Care communities we serve. This position ensures high quality vaccination through education regarding vaccine storage and handling, administration, billing, documentation, and vaccine safety.
Role requirements: - Must be an RN or LPN
- PRN - (10 - 15 hours a week)
- Location - on-site, at a facility in the Greensboro NC area
- Schedule: Normal Business Hours, based on the pharmacy and customer needs

Essential Job Functions (include the following): - Screens vaccine recipients pre-vaccine for potential concerns as identified by facility guidelines
- Educates recipient and administers vaccine as indicated
- Documents vaccine administration using appropriate medical record system. Monitors pre and post vaccination for potential side effects and refers for additional assessment/care as indicated.
- Collaborates effectively with all disciplines and levels of care regarding patient care.
- Ensures compliance with various Isolation Precautions and Infection Control Guidelines
- Supports vaccine administration sites by responding to issues, questions, and ensuring training, as needed, for new products or changes to products.

Education and/or Certifications - High School Diploma or GED
- Appropriate clinical licensure/certification as determined by state regulations.
Skills and Qualifications: - 1+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
- Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
- Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
Work Environment: - Requires up to 100% travel by ground
- Ability to work flexible hours
