Position Summary

Foundation Software, provider of construction software and services and one of Northeast Ohio's top workplaces, is seeking a creative, self-driven SEO Content Writer . In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content for our existing five websites that drives traffic and boosts rankings.

The primary goal will be to write content that is optimized for search engines while remaining interesting and compelling for readers. The candidate will work closely with our SEO specialist and content teams to identify topics, keywords, and trends, then develop content that aligns with our business goals. This role requires strong writing skills, knowledge of SEO best practices, an understanding of digital marketing, experience with SEO software tools and the ability to work both independently and as part of a unified team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Creating, editing and publishing written content for different formats / multimedia / digital channels and platforms
• Controlling the product's tone of voice across various channels and create a consistent user experience
• Educating, exciting and inspiring our audience and attracting new visitors to our platform
• Collaborating with other team members in design, software development and more to bring content briefs to life via simple, clear, and actionable copy
• Ability to manage multiple requests and to deliver quality content with tight deadlines
• Ensuring timelines are managed effectively and consistently with all projects and content workflows
• Maintaining and adhering to online content standards, compliance, voice, tone, and internal style guides
• Helping with User Journey Mapping, FAQs, UI content and on-page content configuration
• Stakeholder management and relationship building - internally and externally
• Ensure a diverse web presence by sharing content through a multiplicity of channels

Required Skills and Experience

• Reports to the marketing content manager
• Proven experience as an SEO Writer, Web Editor or similar role
• Portfolio of live work across various websites / channels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work within a team and be highly collaborative
• Problem solving backed by experience in reviewing and editing your own work as well as that of others for grammar, style and tone
• Clear, concise and unambiguous writing style
• Ability to mentor junior writers in SEO best practices
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple content tasks simultaneously
• In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research and digital marketing
• Experience with SEO software tools (Ahrefs, Google Search Console)
• Experience navigating GA4 and looking for opportunities to grow audiences via websites
• Understanding best practices of product copywriting, user experience, usability, and design flow
