Law Clerk to the Honorable Danielle M. Fogel, J.S.C., Supervising Judge for Supreme Court, 5th Judicial District

Location : Onondaga County Supreme Court, Syracuse, N.Y

Start Dat e: May 2025

Position Summa ry: Justice Fogel is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Law Clerk to provide legal research, analysis, and support on a variety of civil matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research on complex legal issues and provide well-organized, written memoranda and analyses.
• Prepare draft decisions, orders, and bench memoranda.
• Provide assistance in managing caseloads, including scheduling and correspondence.
• Communicate with attorneys, parties, and court status as necessary. Conduct court conferences.

Qualifications:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
