Job Details Job Details:
We are on the lookout for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Assistant Controller to join our fast-paced finance team. This exciting role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in our organization, contributing to the overall financial strategy, planning, and execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Controller in managing all aspects of accounting and financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including monthly and annual reports, in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, both internal and external.
3. Support the Controller in ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
4. Develop and implement effective internal controls and procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
5. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and report any variances.
6. Participate in the coordination and tasks of independent audits ensuring all audit issues are resolved.
7. Maintain and manage the accounting for commercial real estate and multifamily properties using Yardi software.
8. Assist in the management of the corporate budgeting process.
9. Support the Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the finance industry.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
4. Experience in working with Yardi software or equivalent financial management software.
5. Experience in managing finances for commercial real estate and multifamily properties.
6. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
7. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
8. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
9. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
10. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
