Capella Space Internship Program

We are excited to offer a 10-week in-person internship at Capella Space, running from June 3rd to August 15th. This opportunity provides students with hands-on learning and valuable exposure to the dynamic fields of spacecraft design, manufacturing, and geospatial imagery. Alongside meaningful work, our internships include a variety of social events and experiences designed to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance throughout the summer. About the Role and Team

We're seeking a hungry graphic design intern to help build on the Capella brand and bring a fresh perspective to marketing team initiatives. Capella's Marketing team works at the epicenter of the company within a fun, fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. We're looking for an intern interested in engaging with an expert team of engineers and Earth observation professionals to simplify technical concepts into memorable visual stories for distribution across Capella's social media, website, and tradeshow booths.

Role Responsibilities
  • Support the design and development of visually compelling graphics for conference booths, marketing collateral, customer-facing presentations and digital channels
  • Translate company value propositions into intentional design elements
  • Revise and develop new graphics describing Capella's products and services offerings
  • Dive into Capella's imagery archive to search for relevant imagery that can be polished and leveraged for the website, social media, and sales collateral
  • Develop new design templates in the Adobe suite for building printed sales collateral and conference booth material
  • Edit and splice existing video and company b-roll to create visually compelling content across various distribution channels
  • Assist with physical production tasks such as printing and shipping sales material
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or related field
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to give, receive, and apply feedback efficiently
  • Willingness to learn about novel technologies like SAR for informed and intentional design

Compensation
  • This internship will be a 40-hour a week commitment at the pay of $25.00 per hour. An allowance will also be provided to support living costs throughout the program.
