Shepard Exposition Services is seeking Floor Plan Designer will provide technical drafting expertise for the layout and design of the convention floor and lobby areas, both locally and nationally.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Work with Sales, Account Executives, and Clients to provide clear and accurate floor plans that follow facility guidelines
• Utilize our company online portal to work with Account Executives and Clients on floor plan requests
• Keep up to date with the current fire marshal rules and guidelines.
• Provide floor plans for fire marshal submittal in order to obtain necessary permits
• Work with the team on maintaining the DWG’s/PDF’s in the facility floor plan library
• Create electrical and rigging layouts when needed for setup purposes
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment both autonomously on tasks and collaboratively with multiple departments
• Working knowledge of Autocad required, ExpoCad Contractor preferred
• Completion of a formal drafting program preferred
• Working knowledge of convention fire code and permitting processes preferred
• Convention and trade show experience preferred

• Ability to perform as a responsible ESOP owner by making daily decisions to benefit the client and the company
