Executive Housekeeper. The Ideal Candidate : Sophisticated and meticulous estate located in Roxbury, CT is seeking an experienced full-time housekeeper with a deep understanding of high-end cleaning and care for fine items, art, and antiques. This position requires an individual who is polished, detail-oriented, and accustomed to working in an environment where precision and a keen eye for quality are paramount. The household includes a Golden Retriever. The family values a harmonious, quiet and well-maintained home and seeks a housekeeper who will take pride in their work and contribute to this atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: Detailed Housekeeping: Perform comprehensive cleaning from floor to ceiling, ensuring that every aspect of the 13k square-foot primary home is meticulously maintained. This includes all rooms, fixtures, and finishes, with a particular emphasis on preserving the integrity of fine items.
Fine Item Care: Expertise in handling and cleaning delicate items, including fine rugs (without chemicals), art pieces, antiques, and specialty fabrics. Understanding the appropriate methods for steaming and pressing to maintain these items' quality and longevity.
Laundry & Linens: Manage full family laundry, including linens, ironing, and steaming. Ensure that all clothing and linens are impeccably cared for, from everyday wear to fine fabrics.
Deep Cleaning: Conduct thorough deep cleanings, focusing on tasks like duvet cleaning, drapery care, and other intensive cleaning projects.
Maintenance Coordination: Work cohesively with the estate manager to ensure the entire home is cared for. Proactively identify and report any items needing repair or improved care methods for household upkeep.
Event Support: Provide occasional support during the homeowner's events and gatherings, which may require long days and a heightened level of detail and service.
Pet Care: Comfortable working around and helping to care for one Golden Retriever.
Qualifications:High-End Housekeeping Experience:Extensive experience in high-end residential settings with a focus on fine items, antiques, and art care.
Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to take time and move slowly through tasks, ensuring that nothing is overlooked or rushed. The homeowner prefers a thorough and methodical approach rather than a quick in-and-out cleaning style.
Criticism & Feedback: Ability to take constructive criticism well and adjust to the principals' preferences and standards. The homeowner is direct and values open communication and following specific instructions.Professionalism: A professional demeanor, able to work discreetly behind the scenes while still taking initiative and going above and beyond in the role.
