This position requires the individual to have 2 years of prior experience as a bartender in a large catering operation or restaurant. The Events Bartender will work at special affairs such as wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, business networking events, cocktail receptions. We require flexibility in availability to include weekends, both daytime and evening events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job description for this position requires the perfect candidate to:

• Be timely for all shifts and check-in with Event Captain/Event Manager
• Be friendly, smile, be personable and have a positive attitude during all events
• Stock bar with glassware and appropriate beer, wine, liquor as listed on the banquet event order
• Cut and prep slices of fruit garnishes and fills juice mixers as needed
• Refill ice bins
• Provide service of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage service throughout an event based on the style of bar service (open bar or cash bar)
• Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and bartending supplies
• Clean and organize storage spaces
• Assist Event Servers and Utility Staff with end of night clean up of event spaces
• Maintain inventories of bar equipment, glassware and liquor, beer and wine
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors & managers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have excellent customer service skills, strong communication and the ability to multitask and be courteous to all guests attending events
• 2 years of prior experience working in catering or in a restaurant is required
• Must have knowledge of cocktail mixology and how to properly serve beverages
• Must be able to work the duration of the event with limited breaks in between - typical event being 4 hours
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
