Residential Affordable Housing/Commercial Construction

$75,000-100,000k/yr (DOE)

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Columbus, Ohio (onsite)

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide accurate estimates and budgets for projects in the conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents level of a project design
• Provide competitive estimating for plan and spec projects
• Assist the service department with estimates on smaller projects with line-item budgets
• Provide value engineering analysis
• Analyze bids and scopes
• Set up qualified subcontractor bid lists and call the subs to get them to bid
• Create and maintain strong owner and architect relationships
• Ability to research specified materials related to the projects and find alternatives as required
• Be able to handle multiple estimates at one time
• Present estimates and budgets to customers, providing backup documentation as needed
• Work with designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal associates as needed

Who we’re looking for:

• 3-5 years of Construction Estimating Experience REQUIRED
• Experience in larger multi- family/apartments/HUD/OFSHA/Senior Housing PREFERRED
• Ability to develop customer and vendor relationships
• Ability to develop scope of work based on limited information
• Strong math and writing skills
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills
• Growth mindset
• Strong computer skills
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
• Strong presentation skills
