Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Scientist with 1 or more years of experience for our Binghamton, NY Office. The position will be in our Environmental Permitting and Compliance Group and will require someone who is willing to focus on wetland delineation field work as well as associated wetland GIS mapping and interpretation. Willingness to work on a variety of different types of projects, especially outside of the wetland delineation season is a plus.

Job Duties:

• Assist in conducting wetland delineation field work including GPS point acquisition and wetland data collection.
• Assist in creating and interpreting Wetland GIS Maps and other maps associated with Permit Applications.
• Complete SWPPP inspections and perform environmental monitoring during active construction projects. A current 4-hour Erosion and Sediment Control inspector certification is a plus.
• Assist with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
• Obtain, review, and interpret historical, regulatory, and municipal records.
• Independently manage assignments and meet project deliverable schedules.

Requirements

• BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering or related field of study.
• Experience creating and interpreting GIS Mapping.
• Willingness to work on a variety of different projects.
• Good verbal and technical written communication skills are essential as well as time management skills.

Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
