Document Management Technician

Location: Syosset

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: $20.00/hour

Type: Temp-to-Hire (Long-term growth opportunity!)

We’re seeking a Document Management Technician to join a professional, service-driven team in a supportive and fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and prepare medical records and charts for examinations
• Finalize charts by reviewing for accuracy, eliminating duplicates, and ensuring completeness
• Contact physicians’ offices to follow up on medical record status
• Prepare and send records via USPS, UPS, or electronic delivery systems
• Create cover letters and maintain up-to-date client lists
• Perform general clerical tasks: typing, filing, emailing, and proofreading
• Ensure all work complies with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations
• Maintain an organized, efficient document management system

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (or equivalent training)
• Strong computer skills — Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet use
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Clear, professional communication skills
• Ability to stay focused and organized under pressure
• Knowledge of HIPAA and commitment to confidentiality
• A reliable, team-oriented, and proactive attitude
