In partnership with the Global People Officer (GPO), the Director of Talent Management will build a global talent management infrastructure that aligns with JSI’s strategic business imperatives, vision, and values. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of talent management best practices, global HR trends, and a strong ability to influence and drive organizational change. The Director will collaborate across the organization to implement JSI’s global talent management strategy, programs, and processes including leadership development, talent analytics, mentorship/coaching, succession planning, performance management, and organizational learning. As part of the global human resources team, the Director will foster a culture of knowledge sharing that promotes collaboration, coaching, and training opportunities to engage and develop the workforce at all levels.

The preference is for this position to be based in Boston or Washington DC. We may also consider a fully remote position in states where JSI R&T is registered (AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, PA, RI, TN, TX, VT, VA, WA, WI).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner in building a global talent management infrastructure (to include: team structure, strategy, budget, guidelines, policies and best practices) that aligns with JSI’s strategic business imperatives, vision, and values.
  • Drive and execute enterprise-wide succession planning, focusing on critical roles, developing talent maps, and driving development plans and actions to enable our future leaders.
  • Partner with business leaders to align talent planning processes, including determining talent gaps, assessing internal and external talent pools, and bridging workforce gaps.
  • Develop and implement learning & development plans and solutions to promote individual growth and organizational development in support of strategic business initiatives.
  • Partner with organizational and HR leaders to engage and retain employees through career path development planning and programs required to enable employee success and build future leaders.
  • Create, implement, maintain, and evaluate leadership and technical competency models to facilitate employee growth and success.
  • Ensure a diversity, inclusion, and engagement lens is integrated into all talent acquisition and management processes and systems.
  • Partner with leaders, hiring managers, and the recruiting team to forecast short- and long-term hiring requirements and collaborate on organization-wide recruiting activities and overall talent acquisition strategy.
  • Create and implement efficient and effective talent acquisition strategies to improve quality and diversity in recruitment activities across the hiring spectrum.
  • Serve as a talent subject matter expert and coach to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Leverage internal and external analytics to assess programs, process performance, and business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, with 10+ years of progressive human resources experience including leadership capacity, and at least 5 years’ experience in an international and/or dispersed organization.
  • Certification in talent management or HR, e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, etc. preferred.
  • Deep expertise in organization development, effectiveness, talent management, change management, leadership development, talent planning, mentorship and coaching, performance management processes, learning and development, career development, and workforce planning.
  • Notable experience driving transformation to achieve specific business imperatives.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with excellent strategic thinking, interpersonal, relationship-building, influencing, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience planning and addressing future talent and culture needs, including change management required to shift culture successfully.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with a proven track record of using data and metrics to evaluate needs, drive change, and measure impact.
  • Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions.
  • Unquestionable personal integrity, fairness, and credibility necessary to gain the trust and commitment of individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Passionate about the mission of JSI, motivated by the challenges confronting the organization, and dedicated to achieving its goals.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% or as needed.

Salary Range: $123,061 - $215,897 based on experience & location
