Are you ready to make a difference? What is the position? This position will primarily support Cyber Tabletop exercises when conducted sporadically throughout the Periods of Performance and provide other cyber support to the systems once they become IOC or are fully functioning in the production environment.
What will I get to do? - Conduct and document security risk / cyber threat assessments, prepare recommendations for countermeasures.
- Ability to support the plan, prepare, and conduct of Cyber Tabletop exercises.
- Expertise in red team attack (pen testing).
- Provide security-related technical expertise for cloud-based hardware and software penetration testing and in the development of countermeasure operations.
- Provide input for the determination and analysis of security policies, risk analysis, accreditation package analysis, engineering change proposal analysis, and developing process and procedures such as implementation guides.
- Act as a central point of contact for FSM TRIO Cyber Security applications, issues, problems, and implementations and coordinate with a large group of stakeholders to communicate cyber security objectives and facilitate achieving those objectives collaboratively.
- Collaborate with a team of Information Security Consultants to provide subject matter expertise to project teams.
- Coordinate and execute proactive Information Security consulting to the business and technology teams covering Application Security, Cloud Security, Data Security, Infrastructure Security, Resiliency, Network Architecture and Design, User Access Management, and Supply Chain Assurance
- Influence customers to leverage security offerings earlier in the development process and escalate to management when you have concerns.
- Provide ad hoc support on special Information Security hot topics.
- Work with leadership to anticipate their objectives and needs to better serve them. That is, assist in delivering a secure product that does what it's supposed to do.
- Drive innovation activity as an outcome; Partner extensively with the Security Engineering organization to derive both novel and patent activity as outcomes from research and development or from security engagements:
- Participate in engineering, customer and/or business meetings.
- Provide review and writing support on technical data packages and documentation.
What qualifications do I need? - US Citizen able to obtain Dept of Homeland Security Public Trust clearance
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification (or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field and a minimum of 5 years applicable information systems experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Willingness to work outside business hours to support outages and planned maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously, routinely multitasking and reassigning priorities.
- Pen Test experience and qualifications.
- Experience working in IPTs with multiple stakeholders and explaining complex security issues to non-technical audiences
- Experience supporting Operational Testing as programs approach FOC / O&M stage
- Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation.
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with other IT professionals and end-users, and be able to present briefings to executive staff.

- Knowledge of Government Acquisition Process
- Prior experience working on / with Government IT Programs

Compensation $96,760.98 - $154,817.56
The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration - contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of Cognosante's total compensation package for employees.
