Onsite Project Engineer – Chief Joseph Dam

Location: Chief Joseph Dam, Bridgeport, WA

Overview: PICK Electric is seeking an Onsite Project Engineer for the Chief Joseph Dam project. This role involves overseeing various project activities to ensure compliance with specifications and contract requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and prepare submittal documents to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Inspect incoming equipment to verify conformity with submittal data and project specifications.
  • Maintain a deficiency log for damaged or non-compliant equipment, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Develop and revise test forms for equipment installations.
  • Witness quality control tests and document results for approval.
  • Generate daily reports outlining project progress.
  • Manage an equipment log with serial numbers, usage hours, and maintenance records.
  • Maintain up-to-date as-built project documents using AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
  • Prepare and submit RFIs with necessary documentation.
  • Compile Operation and Maintenance manuals with test results, warranty info, and contact details.
  • Conduct weekly meetings, prepare agendas, record discussions, and distribute minutes.
  • Collaborate with on-site Superintendent for solutions to challenges / issues as they arise. Communicate closely with Project Manager at home office.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Project Management preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Commercial/Industrial Journeyman Electrician.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Adobe, AutoCAD, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read blueprints, understand specifications, and interpret wiring diagrams.

Work Schedule:

  • Project duration extends until May 2026, with employment opportunities available upon project completion.
  • Four days a week, ten hours a day (Monday to Thursday), excluding major holidays.
  • Onsite presence required; remote work not permitted.

 

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage.
  • Per diem for onsite days or company paid housing.
