Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform as cargo screener for client airlines.
  • Monitor and inform all authorized parties on movements of client airline’s aircraft and cargo, using mobile technology.
  • Dispatch, receive and/or relay all messages regarding the cargo handling operations.
  • Prepare and process cargo documents and all necessary documents for government agencies and related domestic or international shipments.
  • Obtain client airline’s clearance of inbound and outbound cargo and process all necessary documentation or manifests as required.
  • Conduct physical inspections and screenings of packages or cargo per client airlines’ protocols.
  • Ability to safely drive company van/vehicle and transport employees to/from the aircraft; maintain a driver's license in good standing.
  • Safely utilize all company and client airline equipment, supplies and resources properly.
  • Wear proper uniform and utilize safety gear as required or directed by Company.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Company and client airline policies and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable and follow all FAA/Airline/Company regulations and guidelines.
  • Possess the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written.
  • Keep supervisor informed of all needs and problems in assigned areas; report any maintenance needs.
  • Use appropriate communication channels, maintain records, reports and files as required.
  • Maintain an eye for detail in order to complete airport, airline, and company documentation
  • Ability to organize and prioritize the work and ensure the most pressing tasks are completed.
  • Maintain flexibility with their own shift; ability to adjust to operational needs.
  • Attend meetings as required.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be flexible with shifts as work is dependent upon flight schedules. Shifts may vary - early morning, afternoon, or evening (graveyard) with 24- to 36-hour advance notification
  • Available to work a minimum of four (4) days per week (including weekends and holidays)
  • Fluent in English and able to communicate (verbal and written)
  • Possess and maintain a valid California driver's license in good standing to drive company vehicle
  • Able to work in warm and cold weather, outdoors on tarmac
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States of America (USA)
