The Recreation Department is seeking part-time Babysitters for the Troy Community Center.
**Duties:**
* Care for children age 2 months to 9 years.
* Attend to children's basic needs.
* Assure a healthy, safe, and clean environment for children.
* Engage children in the Kids Korner Room while parents are working out.
* Check children in and out of the childcare area.
* Maintain attendance records and associated reports.
* React to emergency situations including performing CPR/First Aid as needed.
* Communicate with students, parents, and other staff.
* Perform other duties as needed.
**Requirements:**
* Must be at least 16 years old.
* Must be patient, friendly, responsible, and organized. Must display a caring attitude.
* Good communication, problem solving, and priority setting skills as well as maintaining an overall positive and professional attitude.
* Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
* Previous caregiving experience for children age 2 months to 9 years old.
* Must pass background check.
**Preferences:**
* Prefer current CPR/First Aid certification.
**Hours:**
* Approximately 10-15 hours a week year round.
* Current shifts available are Monday through Friday 4pm - 7pm
