The Corporate IS Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Associate Business Resiliency Analyst.

The Associate Business Resiliency Analyst assists with research to purchases and contract requirements, processing and maintaining client software, and software license related projects. Assists with delivery of software license services at enterprise level through use of software management system. Participates in the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by direct supervisor and implements software adhering to UHS IT Standards. Works with Corp Tech Services teams to coordinate installation and maintenance of deployed software. Assists with the day-to-day administration of the Enterprise Technology/IT Disaster Recovery & Incident Response Program. This includes aiding in the development and maintenance of strategies, frameworks, and policies to meet business continuity needs.  Assists in coordination of IT Disaster Recovery & Incident Response exercises. Regular updates to direct manager regarding the status of assignments.

Key Responsibilities include:

Software Asset Management

Activities :

  • Assists with maintenance of detailed inventory of organization’s software and hardware assets and applying the information gathered in making the best decision concerning IT-related purchases and redistribution for the organization.
  • Helps UHS eliminate waste and increase efficiency by making the best use of existing IT asset resources and avoiding asset purchases that are unnecessary.
  • Assists with facility decision making and optimize spending within the IT environment
  • Assists with development and maintenance of processes, policies, standards, systems and measurements that help UHS to effectively manage both on a daily basis and long-term its IT asset portfolio (software and technology-related hardware) with regards to cost, control, risk, compliance, business performance objectives, and IT Governance as established by the company.
  • Ensures quality control throughout the lifecycle of all company IT assets by developing and implementing appropriate procedures to track and manage them.
  • Maintains databases and records of information such as licenses, service agreements, and warranties for the organization’s software and hardware.
  • Ensures compliance with vendor contracts by carrying out effective planning and monitoring and working with hardware assets and software license.
  • Assists in developing procurement strategies across the organization that optimizes technology spend.
  • Performs project management tasks related to license recommendations, license delivery, and support

Incident Management and Incident Response

Activities :

  • Supports the administration and upkeep of the enterprise IT Disaster Recovery & Incident Response framework and policies, ensuring alignment with IT and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, procedures, and solutions.
  • Contributes to the creation of effective response strategies for IT and operational service disruptions, forming disaster recovery plans informed by research and historical incidents.
  • Helps to monitor and review implemented strategies, recommending adjustments as needed, and working with various business groups to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborates with business owners, IT, and support teams to define, develop, and coordinate disaster recovery plans. Participating in all disaster recovery exercises to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of recovery procedures.
  • Works with the Enterprise Technical Services Teams, IS Cyber Security and project stakeholders to ensure timely and successful completion of disaster recovery tests on core IT systems and services.
  • Assists in the review and updating of IT Disaster Recovery & Incident Response policies and guidelines.
  • Supports the analysis of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) outcomes and aligning the disaster recovery framework and strategies to meet business requirements.
  • Maintains a risk document that outlines potential failure scenarios/events to be included in disaster recovery response plans.
  • Participates in Enterprise Resilience and Cybersecurity tabletop exercises and integrating recommended improvements into the IT Disaster Recovery & Incident Response program.
  • Defines processes where and how critical system documentation is maintained, including; System access, recovery protocols, configurations etc.
  • Evaluates availability and preparedness of hard-copy printouts of emergency protocols, communication strategies, contact lists and other important information against other secure options.
  • Assists with creation of templates for Corporate and facility use
  • Performs project management duties related to Incident Response and Disaster Recovery

Data Analysis

Activities :

  • Performs data discovery, analysis, and modeling
  • Gathers and analyzes data for licensing efficiencies
  • Creates reports, dashboards and visualizations to display software licensing and ETS Infrastructure Team performance

Enterprise Technical Services Policies and Infrastructure Standards

Responsibilities :

  • Contributes to infrastructure standards according to business needs
  • Participates in infrastructure policies, standards, and playbook design
  • Assists with management of the lifecycle of all infrastructure standards
  • Performs project management tasks related to maintenance of Infrastructure Standards and the Standards database
  • Coordinates facility assessments to ensure compliance with established infrastructure standards

Administration and Oversight

Activities

  • Maintains Service Excellence principles
  • Prepares and submits status reports to supervisor as required
  • Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, and problems
  • Escalates issues to Manager as required
  • Performs other tasks as required by management
Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. 1-3 years related experience preferred
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and email software applications
  • Knowledge of software and information technology and motivated to learn new applications and business operations
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication and documentation skills, among facility customers and team members
  • Demonstrates customer-oriented service excellence principals, as outlined in UHS corporate standards
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information security, or a related IT.
  • The ability to quickly grasp new business processes and understand how application performance requirements align with business goals for revenue and profitability is preferred.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, with a track record of making well-considered recommendations while accounting for multiple variables to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Self-disciplined, able to work independently, but also able to take direction when necessary
  • Self-motivated to identify and resolve issues, and in advancing personal knowledge
  • Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency
  • Very organized and detail-oriented
