We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Project Manager to join our vibrant team. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving, innovative construction company, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager in planning, executing, and overseeing construction projects from conception to completion. You will be involved in a variety of projects, from residential to commercial construction, providing you with a diverse and challenging work environment. Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Project Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Project Manager in all aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Coordinating and overseeing construction procedures, ensuring that they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensuring that all contracts, plans, and documents are properly prepared, reviewed, and updated.
- Monitoring project progress, addressing any issues that arise, and ensuring that the project stays within the allocated budget and timeline.
- Regularly reporting project status to the Project Manager, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this Assistant Project Manager position should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Exceptional skills in contract management and negotiation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
- A proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
- A professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) would be an advantage.
