Reports To: Golf Professionals / Head Golf Professional

Supervises: Starters and Outside Service Staff

Job Summary:

Execute essential functions of golf professional responsibilities when on duty.

Interaction:

Frequent Interactions with members and guests

Essential Functions:

• Provide the Highest Level of Service to the ROCC Membership and their guests
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Responsible for day-to-day golf operations
• Provide Lessons for all skill levels
• Oversee Outside Staff, Staff Scheduling and Inventory Control
• Have knowledge of merchandise and develop selling skills
• Maintains pro shop inventory control system
• Assist Head Professional and other Golf Professionals with Tournaments and Outings
• Assists golf professionals in instructing, cart and personnel management responsibilities
• Be willing to learn, take direction, and develop skills
• Practice and play the game with members of different group
• Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner to members, guests, and staff.
• A desire to move up within the golf industry
• Basic knowledge of daily golf course operations, USGA rules, handicap, course rating system, mechanics and techniques of golf swing, and general game of golf
• Must be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions:

Frequent exposure to extreme heat and cold conditions

Education:

• High School Graduate (required)
• Enrolled in the PGA program
