Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Affordable Housing Transactional Attorney to join their team. In this role, you will provide legal expertise on affordable housing policy and handle a variety of transactions related to affordable housing development and financing. You will also be responsible for negotiating and drafting loan documents, as well as preparing ground leases, regulatory agreements, easements, and related documents for multifamily developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal counsel on affordable housing policy and regulatory matters.
• Handle affordable housing development and financing transactions from start to finish.
• Negotiate and draft loan documents to support affordable housing projects.
• Draft and review ground leases, regulatory agreements, easements, and other related documents for multifamily development projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Six to eight years of experience as a transactional attorney.
• Experience with first-time homebuyer programs.
• Knowledge of construction documents and related legal processes.
• Familiarity with commercial leases is a plus.

Education Skills:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal transactions and documents.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
